It is difficult not to love the club site at Chatsworth, it is such a haven of peace and quiet. This visit was to a far less busy site than the one it was at the end of November. It was also a little bit warmer, though still frosty. Unfortunately the toilet block had suffered a central heating breakdown.
We had two nights this trip and I actually had my camera out on the first afternoon, though still managed not to get any shots of the site!
I did however grab a few of the birds on site from the comfort of a warm seat inside the van.
Thursday was a stunningly beautiful say, sunny and bright following overnight frost. We took Nell for a long walk across the park, downriver past the two weirs. The park was very busy with walkers. Chatsworth House looked magnificent with its freshly gilded features glinting in the sun. I, of course, had left my camera behind in favour of a pair of walking poles.
