Quite a bonny day. Could be better, could have been worse. We will take it. Decided to change our plan for today. We had been going to a town with a prominent Tuesday market, staying on the free aire tonight. Have decided that mixing with crowds at this time is a poor idea. I am coughing badly… might get me lynched. 😉 I did wake up feeling that I want to go home. The news yesterday that France will be declaring epidemic status this week was not good. If I am going to be Ill again, I really would rather be ill in my own bed. This is not Corona Panic, just understanding that we are currently at such a low ebb that we likely have zero resistance. Although I slept better last night I think the long drive has knocked me back a bit, so today we will stay put on this rock. Research for somewhere to go tomorrow (that doesn’t involve crowds and maybe offers some peace for the cat) and then take advantage of the walk around the island’s periphery. Hopefully that will raise my spirits a little and I shall be feeling more adventurous tomorrow. #wp #france

Stopped for coffee and croissant (off the keto wagon already!) and when we emerged from the service station the sun was shining. Service station full of local goodies: many aniseed and liquorice sweets in wide variety. Also, as we near Montelimar… nougat in wondrous flavours. We were strong and bought only liquorice gums and Fisherman’s Friends to relieve coughs. #wp #livereportingfromtheroad #france

Another quick start today. We have almost 400 Km to do. Quite grey but no actual complaints from The Management at the rear. #wp #livereportingfromtheroad
