How does a slowcoach catch up? This is a matter that has been troubling me for a very long time indeed.
Today provides a chance to draw a line and to begin again. The fact is, as suddenly occurs to me, catching up is no longer feasible.
Some gaps may be filled by the very holey trip accounts at Polarsteps. No login is required to view. I do very much hope to be better at keeping PolarSteps up to date, if only for my own practical use and the memories.
What to do with this space, though?
I have a few ideas. Having fled, once again, from Facebook, then I imagine that some of the chattier daily diary stuff could land up here. Certainly the foodie adventures now need a proper home, and Polarsteps has some shortcomings that frustrate me.
For the time being I am not going to wrestle with WordPress presentation issues. It’s more than sufficient to be considering how to structure my Pages and Posts, and ways to sync activity between here and Polarsteps. I have an awful big job to do over there as it is.
Pinning this post, by way of explanation – if I can. Not all templates support Sticky Posts.
Next: expect an update on the current trip
Then: perhaps I shall get around to explaining why everything fell by the wayside.
To Do:
- There is a new laptop winging its way to us, so another hiatus will occur whilst I climb that learning curve, and move data from old lappie to new one.
- Categories need restructuring
- Page structure needs restructuring
- Parent Pages need to be written
I need to get back to blogging… though do ponder what the point is – there used to be a load of blogs I liked to read/comment on for my hobbies (and a creative writing course!), now it is all showing off on insta…
Maybe the Blog will rise again and have its day once more. All I know is that phones and tablets hamper me. I need a keyboard in order to express myself, and that seems to fit better with a blog. I am looking forward to writing again, once the new lappie arrives. I do not care if it is never read, I just need to write again. I am certain that you, of all people, will know what I mean.
