On the N10, heading for home and we are now in La Charente. The landscape is looking familiar and comfortable. We are going to take a break at La Rochfoucauld; just park up in the Supermarket car park to stretch legs, drink coffee and let the cat out of the bag for a while. Woke up this morning expecting to drive to Arcachon but Mr Snail opened his eyes and asked if I should like to go to Gastes instead. So, that’s where we are heading. A pleasant day for it now that the mist has cleared. Quite a late start after morning coffee with fellow Gastrovanners followed by Intermarché. It’s a short journey however and we shall soon be walking Nell around the lake.
